Important Legal Disclosures
Please read these disclosures carefully before utilizing the Gold Star Credit website or scheduling a consultation. Gold Star Credit is committed to total transparency, honest consumer protection, and strict adherence to federal and Michigan consumer financial protection laws.
1. Not a Law Firm; No Legal Advice
Gold Star Credit is not a law firm, attorney referral service, or legal aid clinic. The founder, staff, and representatives of Gold Star Credit are credit coaches, consumer dispute strategists, and business credit consultants—not licensed attorneys.
No content on this website, consultation discussion, or educational guide should be construed as legal advice. If you require legal counsel regarding consumer credit litigation, bankruptcy proceedings, foreclosure defense, debt collection lawsuits, or contractual disputes, you should consult a licensed attorney in the State of Michigan or your respective jurisdiction.
2. Not a Lender or Broker; No Direct Financing
Gold Star Credit is not a bank, depository institution, direct lender, mortgage broker, or securities dealer. We do not issue loans, lines of credit, credit cards, or loan guarantees.
Our business funding services focus strictly on funding readiness—assisting business owners with foundational compliance (EIN, state registration with Michigan LARA or other state registries, operating agreements, commercial bank accounts, 411 listings) and guiding them through establishing commercial credit bureau trade lines (Dun & Bradstreet, Experian Business, Equifax Commercial).
All loan approvals, credit lines, interest rates, collateral requirements, and repayment terms are determined solely and independently by third-party financial institutions and commercial underwriters.
3. Statutory Consumer Credit File Rights (CROA Disclosure)
Under federal law (15 U.S.C. § 1679c), we are required to inform you of your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA):
Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law
You have a right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report by contacting the credit bureau directly. However, neither you nor any "credit repair" company or credit repair organization has the right to have accurate, current, and verifiable information removed from your credit report. The credit bureau must remove accurate, negative information from your report only if it is over 7 years old. Bankruptcy information can be reported for 10 years.
You have a right to obtain a copy of your credit report from a credit bureau. You may be charged a reasonable fee. There is no fee, however, if you have been turned down for credit, employment, insurance, or a rental dwelling because of information in your credit report within the preceding 60 days. The credit bureau must provide someone to help you interpret the information in your credit file. You are entitled to receive a free copy of your credit report by law once every 12 months from each of the nationwide credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) through AnnualCreditReport.com.
You have a right to sue a credit repair organization that violates the Credit Repair Organizations Act. This law prohibits deceptive practices by credit repair organizations.
You have the right to cancel your contract with any credit repair organization for any reason within 3 business days from the date you signed it.
4. No Guarantees on Credit Scores, Items, or Timelines
- Accurate Data Stays: Neither Gold Star Credit nor any other ethical service can remove accurate, timely, verifiable negative records from your credit files.
- Score Fluctuations: Credit scores are calculated by complex mathematical algorithms proprietary to Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO) and VantageScore Solutions. Because scores are influenced by dozens of evolving factors (including ongoing payment history, credit utilization, account ages, and new inquiries), we do not and cannot guarantee any specific score increase or numeric result.
- Timeline Variability: Bureau dispute investigations by law typically take 30 to 45 days per investigation cycle. The overall time required to resolve reporting errors or rebuild credit varies significantly depending on your specific profile.
5. Testimonials and Case Studies
Any client reviews, video testimonials, score screenshots, or case summaries displayed on this website represent individual client experiences. They are published with express permission.
These results are not typical for every consumer and do not constitute a promise, projection, or guarantee of the results you may achieve. Your outcomes will depend on your unique financial history, the accuracy of your bureau files, your dedication to maintaining on-time payments, and independent third-party decisions.
6. Educational Content Accuracy
We strive to maintain accurate, up-to-date educational resources reflecting current federal regulations (CFPB, FTC) and Michigan state guidelines. However, consumer reporting rules and creditor policies evolve frequently. We encourage all clients to review cited primary statutory sources and verify specifics during their one-on-one consultations.
